What exactly is the $500 consultation?
It's two structured 1-on-1 sessions ($250 each). In the first, we map every dimension of your move. In the second, we deliver a fully customized return plan. If you proceed with any package, the entire $500 is credited back to you — so there's no real cost if you move forward.
What does the price include — and what do I pay for separately?
Your package price is purely The First Mile's service fee for planning, coordination and execution. Everything we arrange on your behalf — flights, customs duties, furniture, appliances, pet transport, household staff salaries and other vendor charges — is paid by you directly, at cost. We don't mark anything up, so you always see exactly what each thing costs.
Do I have to be in India for any of this?
No. The entire process — consultation, planning and most execution — happens while you're still abroad. Your relationship manager works on the ground in Hyderabad so the hardest parts are handled before you ever board a flight.
Which cities do you cover?
We specialize in returns to Hyderabad, with a deeply vetted local network across housing, schools, healthcare and services. If you're returning to another Indian city, mention it in your session and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
How is The First Mile different from a relocation agent?
